Narrative Synopsis
Mr. Jabar and his wife are the products of Malay society around 1955-1960. They raise their children, Hassan and Salleh, to express their love of country based on their national and ethnic history. Hassan becomes active in politics, but his political failure and his father's death make him schizophrenic. Their mother tries to rear the boys well, but Salleh turns into a wild young man.
